We are located in the heart of Argentina, 100km north of the provincial capital Cordoba, hidden in the small mountain range known as the 'Sierras chicas de Cordoba' is the small village of San Esteban. Its a beautiful valley with mountain streams and lots of outdoor activity, walks, cycling, mountaineering, paragliding etc!!
San Esteban is a small municipality that comprises San Esteban and the historical settlement of Dolores, where Carlos Gardel shot scenes from his first film 'Flor de Durazno' in the chapel and house of the same name!! The Dolores stream is a focal point for the local community, winding its way through the whole of the villages boundaries.
The village has a thriving artistic community with many artisans of myriad crafts making this village their home. There is a craft fair every month with live music showcasing local and national artists. There is also a ceramics/pottery school in the old train station in the centre of the village.
There are several shops including two bakeries a general convenience store with butchers and several vegetable grocers!!
The classical guitar construction course with Paul exceeded all my expectations. I learned so much from Paul in a relatively short time. Paul’s guidance ensured I left with a professional level Spanish guitar that both sounds amazing and looks absolutely beautiful; Paul’s dedication to a successful outcome was absolutely apparent throughout the course. The knowledge he enthusiastically passes along is invaluable for those pursuing any type of guitar building. Paul and his family make you feel so welcomed! The accommodations are amazing, the area is friendly and the environment is quite stunning. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to create a truly fine instrument with such an experienced teacher. The guitar I left with, the great time I had and the knowledge I gained outweigh the cost of the course many times over.

Working with Paul on making a stringed instrument was definitely the most challenging VAWAA I have done, or will do. But Paul did such a fantastic job guiding me through the process. He showed me how to use so many different tools, both hand tools, and power tools. I don't think I had ever considered how many precise processes need to go into making a stringed instrument. Paul did a great job guiding me through the whole process in a way where I would not be overwhelmed by all that needed to be done
